What we do and how we do it
People come to us about Alcove Cabinetry in the UK once the cheap option has already failed. Because the area is mainly a mix of period and modern stock, no two openings measure quite the same. Locally you are contending with the full range of UK exposure conditions, so coating failure followed by rot at the joints is the fault we are called out to. The value is in scribing to alcoves that are never the same width top and bottom, not in the timber bill.
The site visit comes first, because assumptions made in an office get paid for on site. Rough dimensions and a couple of photographs are enough for us to price it properly.

Frequently asked questions
Do you take a deposit?
Not before the measured survey. A deposit is only requested once the survey is complete and you have approved the final schedule and price.
What if the opening is out of square?
Most older openings are. The survey records the actual dimensions at several points and the unit is manufactured to suit, which is the main reason we survey rather than work from the sizes given over the phone.
What guarantee do you provide?
Ten years on workmanship, covering manufacture and the factory-applied finish. Where we install, the installation is covered too. It is issued in writing with the handover paperwork.
Can you price from drawings?
Yes. Send a drawing set or a schedule and we will price against it. If anything is ambiguous we will query it before quoting rather than assume and reprice later.
Do you fit, or supply only?
Both. Supply-only is common for trade and contractor clients. For private clients we usually recommend supply and fit, because responsibility for the fit and the finish then sits in one place.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes, we deliver across England, Wales and Scotland. Delivery is priced into the quotation so there is no separate charge added later.
Is the timber certified?
All our stock is FSC certified and chain-of-custody documentation is supplied with the order, which most main contractors and specifiers now require for their records.
