Fitted furniture in Brixham
Most Media Walls enquiries we take in Brixham start with an opening that is not a standard size. Because the area is mainly cob and thatch, Regency seaside terraces and Dartmoor granite cottages, no two openings measure quite the same. The weather does the rest: the wettest large county in England with severe Atlantic exposure here, and sustained rot in cob-embedded frames and moor-exposed openings as the predictable result. Where we put the effort is ventilation and cable routing designed in before anything is cut.
The measuring is done by the people responsible for the fit, which concentrates the mind. A quick call or a photograph of the opening is usually enough to get you a price.
Worth knowing locally: cob walls move seasonally, so frames need tolerance built into the fixing detail.

We scribe to the wall
Every panel is cut to the actual line of the plaster, so there is no tapering gap running down the side of the unit.
We measure at three heights
Alcoves are routinely 20 to 40mm wider at the bottom than the top. One measurement is how you end up packing the gap out.
We finish off site
Sprayed under workshop conditions, which is a level of finish site application simply cannot reach.
What clients tell us
Feedback collected directly from completed projects. Full written references are available on request before you commit.
“The alcoves were nearly 40mm out top to bottom and you genuinely cannot tell.”
Verified client, Devon“Finish is better than anything we have had sprayed on site, and it has stayed that way.”
Verified client, Devon“They redesigned the internal layout after asking how we actually store things.”

Can you price from drawings?
Yes. Send a drawing set or a schedule and we will price against it. If anything is ambiguous we will query it before quoting rather than assume and reprice later.
What guarantee do you provide?
Ten years on workmanship, covering manufacture and the factory-applied finish. Where we install, the installation is covered too. It is issued in writing with the handover paperwork.
What if the opening is out of square?
Most older openings are. The survey records the actual dimensions at several points and the unit is manufactured to suit, which is the main reason we survey rather than work from the sizes given over the phone.
Do you take a deposit?
Not before the measured survey. A deposit is only requested once the survey is complete and you have approved the final schedule and price.
How long does a typical order take?
Most made-to-size orders run six to ten weeks from survey to delivery. Conservation and heavily detailed work can take longer, and we confirm the lead time in writing at quotation rather than leaving it open.
