Fitted furniture in Stockport
Media Walls is one of those jobs in Stockport where the survey decides everything. Given the mill-era terraces, interwar semis and large commercial and retail frontages that dominates locally, standard sizes are the exception not the rule. persistently high rainfall with limited drying windows is the local complication, and coating failure and rot on north-facing elevations that rarely dry out is what it eventually causes. Our focus on this is ventilation and cable routing designed in before anything is cut.
We would rather spend an hour surveying than a week correcting. Tell us what you are working with and we will put a fixed figure in writing.
One thing that catches people out here: high commercial density supports substantial shopfitting and contract joinery demand.

Which is the entire reason built-in furniture costs more than flat-pack, and the entire reason it looks better.
We scribe to the wall
Every panel is cut to the actual line of the plaster, so there is no tapering gap running down the side of the unit.
We measure at three heights
Alcoves are routinely 20 to 40mm wider at the bottom than the top. One measurement is how you end up packing the gap out.
We finish off site
Sprayed under workshop conditions, which is a level of finish site application simply cannot reach.
What clients tell us
Feedback collected directly from completed projects. Full written references are available on request before you commit.
“The alcoves were nearly 40mm out top to bottom and you genuinely cannot tell.”
Verified client, Greater Manchester“Finish is better than anything we have had sprayed on site, and it has stayed that way.”
Verified client, Greater Manchester“They redesigned the internal layout after asking how we actually store things.”

Can you work on a listed building?
Yes, and a significant share of our work is listed or conservation area. We can supply drawings and section details to support a listed building consent or planning application, though the consent itself remains the owner's responsibility.
Do you take a deposit?
Not before the measured survey. A deposit is only requested once the survey is complete and you have approved the final schedule and price.
What guarantee do you provide?
Ten years on workmanship, covering manufacture and the factory-applied finish. Where we install, the installation is covered too. It is issued in writing with the handover paperwork.
Do you fit, or supply only?
Both. Supply-only is common for trade and contractor clients. For private clients we usually recommend supply and fit, because responsibility for the fit and the finish then sits in one place.
Is the timber certified?
All our stock is FSC certified and chain-of-custody documentation is supplied with the order, which most main contractors and specifiers now require for their records.
