Fitted furniture in Accrington
Ask three firms about Window Seats and Shutters in Accrington and you will get three different answers. The housing here is largely cotton-town terraces, Pennine stone cottages and Fylde coast resort stock, and that shapes what will actually fit. Then there is high rainfall inland and severe wind exposure on the Fylde coast, which reliably produces wind-driven rain penetration at meeting rails and sill joints given enough seasons. What you are paying for is shutters that fold back into the reveal without fouling the frame.
Manufacture only starts once the survey figures are agreed with you in writing. Send what you have, even if it is only a phone photo, and we will take it from there.
Bear in mind for this area: coastal Fylde stock needs the same specification discipline as the South West.

We scribe to the wall
Every panel is cut to the actual line of the plaster, so there is no tapering gap running down the side of the unit.
We measure at three heights
Alcoves are routinely 20 to 40mm wider at the bottom than the top. One measurement is how you end up packing the gap out.
We finish off site
Sprayed under workshop conditions, which is a level of finish site application simply cannot reach.
What clients tell us
Feedback collected directly from completed projects. Full written references are available on request before you commit.
“The alcoves were nearly 40mm out top to bottom and you genuinely cannot tell.”
Verified client, Lancashire“Finish is better than anything we have had sprayed on site, and it has stayed that way.”

What guarantee do you provide?
Ten years on workmanship, covering manufacture and the factory-applied finish. Where we install, the installation is covered too. It is issued in writing with the handover paperwork.
Can you match an existing profile?
Yes. If you can supply a section, a photograph with a rule in shot, or an old unit, we can replicate the profile. For conservation work this is usually the condition the planning officer will apply.
What if the opening is out of square?
Most older openings are. The survey records the actual dimensions at several points and the unit is manufactured to suit, which is the main reason we survey rather than work from the sizes given over the phone.
Will the finish need maintaining?
A factory-applied microporous finish typically needs inspection every three to five years, sooner on exposed coastal elevations. Maintaining it is far cheaper than letting a coating fail and the timber take up water.
Do you take a deposit?
Not before the measured survey. A deposit is only requested once the survey is complete and you have approved the final schedule and price.
