Kitchen Joinery across Derbyshire

If Kitchen Joinery in Derbyshire were straightforward, there would be a stock size for it. With Peak District gritstone cottages, mill housing and Georgian spa stock making up much of the area, off-the-shelf sizes rarely line up. Then there is upland cold with heavy snow loading and hard frost, which reliably produces frost heave damage and swelling on unbalanced-finish joinery given enough seasons. In practice that means in-frame doors where the shadow gap has to stay even everywhere.

Nothing is ordered until someone has stood in front of the opening with a tape. Photographs and approximate sizes are all we need to start.

One thing that catches people out here: Peak Park properties face some of the tightest external alteration controls in England.

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover Derbyshire?

Yes. We cover the whole of Derbyshire including Derby, Chesterfield, Ilkeston, Swadlincote and the surrounding villages. Peak Park properties face some of the tightest external alteration controls in England. Because upland cold with heavy snow loading and hard frost, we allow for it at survey stage rather than discovering it on the day.

Can you price from drawings?

Yes. Send a drawing set or a schedule and we will price against it. If anything is ambiguous we will query it before quoting rather than assume and reprice later.

What guarantee do you provide?

Ten years on workmanship, covering manufacture and the factory-applied finish. Where we install, the installation is covered too. It is issued in writing with the handover paperwork.

What if the opening is out of square?

Most older openings are. The survey records the actual dimensions at several points and the unit is manufactured to suit, which is the main reason we survey rather than work from the sizes given over the phone.

Do you take a deposit?

Not before the measured survey. A deposit is only requested once the survey is complete and you have approved the final schedule and price.
