Timber Wall Panelling across Wiltshire

Most Timber Wall Panelling enquiries we take in Wiltshire start with an opening that is not a standard size. The housing here is largely chalk-downland cob and thatch, Bath stone terraces and garrison housing, and that shapes what will actually fit. exposed downland wind with driving rain is the local complication, and wind-driven water forced past worn weatherseals is what it eventually causes. The value is in setting out so panel lines relate to the doors and windows, not in the timber bill.

We survey before anything is cut, so the schedule reflects the opening as built rather than as drawn. Get in touch and we will be straight with you about cost and timescale.

Bear in mind for this area: cob and thatch properties need breathable finishes rather than film-forming coatings.

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover Wiltshire?

Yes. We cover the whole of Wiltshire including Swindon, Salisbury, Chippenham, Trowbridge and the surrounding villages. Cob and thatch properties need breathable finishes rather than film-forming coatings. Because exposed downland wind with driving rain, we allow for it at survey stage rather than discovering it on the day.

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes, we deliver across England, Wales and Scotland. Delivery is priced into the quotation so there is no separate charge added later.

Do you work in hardwood or softwood?

Both. Engineered hardwood is the default where movement or exposure is a concern, and slow-grown softwood is often the better value choice for painted work in sheltered positions. We will tell you which we would specify and why.

What guarantee do you provide?

Ten years on workmanship, covering manufacture and the factory-applied finish. Where we install, the installation is covered too. It is issued in writing with the handover paperwork.

Will the finish need maintaining?

A factory-applied microporous finish typically needs inspection every three to five years, sooner on exposed coastal elevations. Maintaining it is far cheaper than letting a coating fail and the timber take up water.
