Window Seats and Shutters across Bristol
Half the Window Seats and Shutters problems we fix in Bristol started as a sizing assumption. Most of what we survey locally is Georgian Clifton terraces, Victorian bay-fronted streets and converted warehouses, which is not built to any modern module. Add mild wet westerly weather with limited hard frost to that and moss and algae growth followed by paint blistering on shaded elevations becomes the usual trigger for replacement. Where we put the effort is shutters that fold back into the reveal without fouling the frame.
We survey before anything is cut, so the schedule reflects the opening as built rather than as drawn. Send what you have, even if it is only a phone photo, and we will take it from there.
One local point to factor in: Clifton's Georgian stock frequently requires exact sash box replication.

Frequently asked questions
Do you cover Bristol?
Yes. We cover the whole of Bristol including Bristol, Clifton, Bedminster, Horfield and the surrounding villages. Clifton's Georgian stock frequently requires exact sash box replication. Because mild wet westerly weather with limited hard frost, we allow for it at survey stage rather than discovering it on the day.
Do you take a deposit?
Not before the measured survey. A deposit is only requested once the survey is complete and you have approved the final schedule and price.
What guarantee do you provide?
Ten years on workmanship, covering manufacture and the factory-applied finish. Where we install, the installation is covered too. It is issued in writing with the handover paperwork.
Do you fit, or supply only?
Both. Supply-only is common for trade and contractor clients. For private clients we usually recommend supply and fit, because responsibility for the fit and the finish then sits in one place.
Is the timber certified?
All our stock is FSC certified and chain-of-custody documentation is supplied with the order, which most main contractors and specifiers now require for their records.
